Project H.M.
They have begun slicing the brain of patient H.M.! In case you don’t know, he was a very very famous case study in psychology because he experienced anterograde amnesia – that is to say, he could not form any new memories. Now they are looking at the brain tissue of H.M. who died about 1 year ago to determine a) what was causing these memory abnormalities and b) to look for signs of Alzheimer’s.
Check out the live feed of the slicing!
